Congresswoman Miller and Other Pro-Life Lawmakers Introduce Legislation to Protect Women and Children on College Campuses

WASHINGTON - Congresswoman Mary Miller, Rep. Chip Roy and Sen. Steve Daines will hold a press conference on Wednesday morning to introduce a landmark piece of pro-life legislation. 

Also in attendance will be pro-life activists and experts who will speak on the fight against chemical abortions on college campuses, the science against these procedures, and personal experiences with them.

Representative Chip Roy

Congressman Roy is the Representative for Texas’ 21st Congressional District, which stretches from south Austin through the hill country to downtown San Antonio. He serves on the House Judiciary and Veterans Affairs committees and is the Chairman of the Republican Study Committee Health Care Task Force.

Senator Steve Daines

U.S. Senator Steve Daines of Montana is the founder and chair of the first ever Senate Pro-Life Caucus. One of Daines’ top priorities in the United States Senate is protecting ALL life, no matter how small, no matter how many chromosomes.

Representative Mary Miller

Congresswoman Mary Miller is a freshman representative from Illinois' 15th Congressional District. She is a farmer, educator, business manager, but most of all a mother of 7 and grandmother of 17. Her congressional priorities from the beginning have included education reform, supporting families and standing up for life.

Kristan Hawkins

Kristan Hawkins is president of Students for Life Action/Students for Life of America, heading an operation with more than 1,250 groups in all 50 states. SFLA creates strategy, policy and programming that connects those most targeted for abortion with people ready to help and builds a framework for political engagement on their behalf. Toni McFadden

Toni McFadden, Students for Life of America Minority Outreach Director, is an international speaker and founder of the programs Pro-Life speaker and Relationships Matter. She writes and speaks extensively on the value of relationships and on the lies of abortion. Her testimony of life after abortion inspires new generations of women.  

Lili North

Lili North is a Students for Life of America Student Spokesperson and a former Wilberforce fellow. She is a senior at San Diego State University in California where shortly, Chemical Abortion Pills are to be offered at student healthcare centers because of a measure that Gov. Gavin Newsom signed into law, forcing all publicly funded colleges and universities to become abortion vendors. SFLA/SFLAction fought the measure for years as political allies of Corporate Abortion made it clear that they wanted to start in California with pills on campuses before expanding to schools across the country. 

Marilyn Musgrave

Honorable Marilyn Musgrave is the Vice President of Government Affairs at Susan B. Anthony List. She served Colorado’s 4th congressional district for three terms, and was a champion for pro-life, pro-family values long before she ran for Congress. Now with SBA List, she continues to work closely with pro-life allies on Capitol Hill to expose the abortion extremism of Democrats and advance life-saving pro-life policy. 

Tessa Longbons

Tessa Longbons is a research associate with the Charlotte Lozier Institute.  As a member of CLI’s data analytics department, Tessa has extensively researched chemical abortion, including tracking complications and outcomes on a state-by-state basis.  Her research analyzes U.S. abortion trends, the characteristics of abortions and abortion providers in the United States, and the impact of abortion on women.

Meg Kilgannon


Meg Kilgannon is the Senior Fellow for Education Studies at Family Research Council. Previously she served at the U.S. Department of Education as Director of the Office of Faith and Opportunity Initiatives in the Trump Administration. Meg is a long-time advocate for women and children and a member of Hands Across the Aisle women's coalition, a multi-partisan international group of women working to preserve the rights of women and girls.

Jeanne Mancini

Jeanne Mancini has been President of the March for Life Education and Defense Fund since 2012, sponsors of the largest annual human rights March in the world.  Prior to the March for life she has worked in a variety of positions including for the U.S. government where she concentrated on domestic and international health care issues. She has experience with the drug approval process and saw how it was politicized during in regards to chemical abortions.

Nicole Hudgens

Nicole Hudgens has a passion to advance faith, family, and freedom in her generation and for the generations to come. In her role at Family Policy Alliance, Nicole frequently works with lawmakers and policy allies to accomplish shared pro-family objectives. Before joining Government Affairs at Family Policy Alliance, she served as the Deputy Director for the Centers for Faith and Opportunity Initiatives at the U.S. Department of Labor in the Administration of President Donald Trump.
