Miller Votes to End COVID Vaccine Mandate in Defense Authorization

WASHINGTON - Congresswoman Mary Miller (R-IL) released the following statement on her vote for the National Defense Authorization Act:
"Today, we can celebrate that the Biden COVID vaccine mandate for our troops will finally end thanks to the hard work of a small group of conservatives who held the line on behalf of our armed forces," Miller said. "From the moment Joe Biden implemented this detrimental mandate, which devastated military recruitment and morale, I promised the service members in my district that I would fight for a full repeal and oppose the Defense Authorization bill until it ended the COVID vaccine mandate. Many argued that Congress did not have the power to end the COVID vaccine mandate through the NDAA, but I held firm, and today, we are vindicated. Congress must now demand that every service member discharged over the vaccine mandate has the right to reinstatement. The end of this vaccine mandate will lead to the end of every unconstitutional and unjust COVID mandate, and House Republicans must investigate the corruption at the CDC and FDA when we take the majority next month!"
