President Biden Announces Anti-Second Amendment ATF Nominee
Effingham, Ill. - Today, President Biden announced his nomination of radical, Obama-era gun control advocate Steve Dettelbach to lead the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. Congresswoman Mary Miller (R-IL) released the following statement on Biden's ATF nominee:
"The Biden Administration is embracing a radical gun banning agenda, which includes "red-flag" gun confiscation and anti-Second Amendment nominees," Miller said. "I will continue to oppose Joe Biden's anti-Second Amendment agenda."
In his role as a federal attorney for the Northern District of Ohio, ATF nominee Steve Dettelbach has called for gun confiscation measures.
Last year, Congresswoman Miller joined many conservatives in opposing the nomination of David Chipman to lead the ATF because of his views on gun confiscation. Strong opposition from fellow conservatives in Congress successfully forced the Biden Administration to withdraw Chipman's nomination.
