Rep. Miller Introduces the Keep Our Girls Safe Act Codifying President Trump’s Protections of Female Spaces

March 26, 2025

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Congresswoman Mary Miller (IL-15) introduced the Keep Our Girls Safe Actlegislation that fully codifies President Trump’s Executive Order, Keeping Men Out of Women’s Sports, and ensures that public schools comply with federal mandates to protect female-only spaces or lose federal funding.

President Trump’s executive order declared that his administration will “take all appropriate action to affirmatively protect all-female athletic opportunities and all-female locker rooms and thereby provide the equal opportunity guaranteed by Title IX of the Education Amendments Act of 1972.”

Rep. Miller’s bill directs the federal government to rescind federal funding to any public school in the United States that deprives women and girls of female-only spaces.

“President Trump is boldly standing up for the safety and privacy of our daughters, now Congress must do the same,” said Congresswoman Mary Miller. “Female-only spaces exist for a reason, and no girl should ever be put in an unsafe or uncomfortable situation. My bill ensures public schools follow the law—or lose federal funding.”

On March 18, Congresswoman Miller urged President Donald Trump to immediately revoke all federal funding for Deerfield School District 109 in Deerfield, Illinois, due to violations of young girls’ privacy and noncompliance with President Trump’s "Keeping Men Out of Women's Sports" executive order at Shepard Middle School.
