Rep. Miller Statement on President Biden's Remarks: "The American people overwhelmingly reject this failed President"

September 1, 2022

Oakland, Ill. - Congresswoman Mary Miller (R-IL) issued the following statement on this evening's remarks by President Biden:

"Tonight, Joe Biden spoke about "unity" and "democracy" after behaving as a radical authoritarian, tearing apart America and using the DOJ to target his political opponents," Miller said. "Biden tried to use the federal government to fire 84 million Americans for refusing to disclose their COVID vaccination status after promising he would not impose a vaccine requirement. He opened our southern border to an invasion of human traffickers and fentanyl smugglers in violation of US immigration law and his Constitutional oath to defend our borders. He used the FBI to intimidate and threaten parents who showed up at school board meetings to oppose his woke transgender agenda and racist Critical Race Theory policies. Newly released emails show that the Biden White House was engaging Big Tech companies to silence and censor his critics. After promising to "heal the soul of the nation," Joe Biden has resorted to name-calling because the incompetent Marxists running his White House created an inflation crisis, an energy crisis, a border crisis, and a recession. The American people overwhelmingly reject this failed President and miss the energy independence, border security, and booming economy we had under President Trump."
